She was born in Iran in 1982, but her family moved to Germany when she was 1 year old. Shermine's beautiful looks did not stop her from pursuing her education; she completed a university degree in Social Sciences and speaks German, Farsi, French and English fluently. In step with her studies, Shermine's beauty could not be ignored any longer: she turned to the pageant world. She won the Miss Deutschland title in 2004 and then the Miss Europe title in 2005. Shermine has now decided to focus on becoming an actress. Miss Shahrivar currently lives in New York where she studies acting at the famed Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film institute. Her mother and brothers live in Germany while her father, a pilot, has returned to live in Iran. Shermine continues modeling (the simple matter is, the girl cannot take a bad photo!) She is currently the face of the American Apparel clothing line. Having conquered the Eastern hemisphere, Shermine's sweet smile is sure to win her many more fans on this side of the planet!
