Catherine Bell

Catherine Bell was born in London, England, the daughter of a British architect. Her parents divorced when she was three, after which she and her mother, Mina, moved to Los Angeles, California. Catherine, a self described "geek" excelled in math and biology, and even programmed a computer video game in junior high school (this is VERY advanced, especially considering the fact that she did this in the late '70s people!) She attended UCLA with the intention of becoming a biomedical engineer or physician, but eventually turned her attention towards becoming a full-time model. She moved to Japan and, thanks to her naturally voluptuous figure, worked as a successful model in the late '80s. She returned to California and took acting lessons; soon after, she became thrust into the acting world. From 1996 to 2005, Bell starred as U.S. Marine Corps Major Sarah MacKenzie on the massive hit show, JAG, as the practicing attorney in the U.S. Navy's Judge Advocate General's Corps. She now stars on the television drama 'Army Wives' as Denise Sherwood, the wife of a US Army major, who is enduring domestic violence at the hands of her teenage son. Catherine speaks Farsi and English fluently, and is adored by her Persian fans. Like fine wine, Catherine just keeps getting better with age.
